Members of the Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary participated in the Safety Festival on Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 am-2:00pm in Clover Park. We enjoyed sharing information about Rotary and about our club's service projects. We distributed our club brochure, handed out 'Josh the Otter' activity sheets and crayons to the kids while their parents purchased raffle tickets for the many donated items available to win. It was a fun family affair and we enjoyed meeting everyone who visited our booth.
The numerous demonstrations put on by the various 1st Responders were amazing as well as educational.
Members and friends of the Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary Club spent Saturday, February 24 working one of the concession stands at the NY Met's spring training game at Clover Park.
Working as a team, the members worked the cash registers, poured beer and soft drinks, prepared the hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. and served the fans.
This is just one of the ways that the Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary Club members serve our community and we appreciate the opportunity.
As you make visits to the grocery store, pick up a 16 oz. jar of Peanut Butter and donate it to our drive. These are donated to Grace Packs, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization, that prepares packs of nonperishable food items and distributes to the 790 food insecure students on their roster at the end of each school week. Please do not let our children go hungry.
Thank you to the community for your generous donations to our Annual Peanut Butter Drive. Members were pleased to arrive at GracePacks with hundreds of jars of peanut butter for food insecure children in our local schools. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Port St Lucie, National Junior Honor Society at Palm Pointe K-8, Buffalo-Chophouse, the Tradition communities of Heritage Oaks and Bedford Park, and many residents of Port St. Lucie.
Your participation supports our community service projects.
Everyone enjoyed good food, drinks and outstanding service! A fun evening was had by all.
The Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary Club recently hosted their annual Holiday party during which they donated all the collected toys, games, puzzles, etc. from their November Toy Drive to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office for their “Santa Cop” program.
Deputies Lee and Hoffman joined the festivities to collect the donations. They, in turn, will distribute gifts to the children and teens in our community.
The club members appreciate the donations from the community and wish everyone a very happy and joyous holiday season.
Help make certain all children enjoy the holidays. The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office Deputies distribute these items to children over the holiday.
The Port St Lucie Sunset Rotary Club conducted a successful food drive during the month of October thanks to our generous community.
Another successful service project:
The Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary members delivered the collected items to Grace Packs, Inc.. The items will be placed in 'grace' packs and backpacks to provide weekend nourishment for St. Lucie food insecure school children.
Special Thanks and Recognition is given to the St. Lucie West Lions Club for their partnership this year.
Over 1200 personal copies of the 48-page Constitution booklet were delivered to the 7th grade Civics class students. Members completed the service project by also presenting the school board members a copy.
